Weleda was created in the 1920s, the well-known Weleda range of skin and body care products and naturopathic medicines are based on alternative health principles developed by Dr Rudolf Steiner and Dr Ita Wegman. Weleda is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of biodynamic, certified natural and organic beauty products, with their ingredients grown on their own biodynamic farms. Weleda products are made in Germany and New Zealand, are Certified Organic and are not tested on animals. Weleda’s range includes beautifully scented skincare, the classic favourite Skin Food, and now includes fragrances.

Weleda has formally advised us that any pure palm oil used is Certified Organic and therefore must be derived exclusively from non-destructive cultivation, under fair working conditions and with guaranteed traceability. Derivatives are more difficult, but they are working with suppliers to ensure this. Weleda is a Member of RSPO (Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil) and sits on the board of FONAP (Forum for Sustainable Palm Oil).
